FAQ

DO I NEED TO BUY A BOOK FOR MY COURSE?

No. It depends on the level of the students. We usually work with a combination of our own materials (we have our own method and books) and handouts from other books. This entirely depends on the needs and wishes of the student.

WHAT ARE YOUR CANCELLATION POLICIES?

Please check our Terms and Conditions page on our website.

WOULD I BE ABLE TO RECEIVE A CERTIFICATE?

We are happy to provide students with a letter that states the attendance and progress. German exams can be done at the Goethe Institut or at TELC (they offer exams worldwide). Dutch exams can be done either in the Netherlands or Belgium. There is an annual exam (CNaVT) that is conducted worldwide. For English exams, we recommend the Cambridge exam centres.

ARE LESSONS VIA ZOOM LESS EFFECTIVE?

Students are generally overwhelmingly positive with the lessons via Zoom. Most of them prefer the lessons via Zoom to face-to-face lessons. This is partially due to the break-out rooms that Zoom offers.

WHAT PAYMENT OPTIONS DO YOU OFFER?

Students can pay via bank transfer. We also send invoices after or before each month of lessons. We usually require the first lesson to be paid before the first lesson takes place.

HOW DO YOU MAKE ONLINE LESSONS INTERESTING AND INTERACTIVE?

We use an extensive amount of online tools such as Kahoot and online exercises that the publishers of the teaching materials have made available.

DO I HAVE TO DO HOMEWORK?

Our advice to students is that self-study time should equal classroom hours. If you have a very busy life, a tailored set of exercises (as part of the syllabus) can be provided. Also, some extra exercises could be done in class.

DO YOU PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH A SYLLABUS?

Yes, we always set up a syllabus upon request.
